Frenchman Laurent Mekies has signed a contract extension as Red Bull team principal until 2031, the British-based manufacturer confirmed on Wednesday.
Mekies, 49, joined from sister team Racing Bulls in July 2025 after Christian Horner was sacked following 20 years in charge.

The contract renewal comes after four-time world champion Max Verstappen gave Red Bull their first wins of the season in Malaysia and Singapore.
Red Bull also recently extended the contracts of their two drivers. Dutchman Verstappen penned a new deal that runs until 2030, while Frenchman Isack Hadjar will remain with the team next season.
Mekies, who has also previously worked at Minardi, Toro Rosso, Ferrari and the FIA, said: "I am incredibly proud to continue this journey with Red Bull Racing.
"What makes this team special is the way everyone comes together in pursuit of the same goal, and I feel privileged to work alongside such a talented and committed group every day."
Red Bull are currently fourth in the constructors' championship but have closed to within seven points of third-placed McLaren.
🗣️: "I am incredibly proud to continue this journey with Oracle Red Bull Racing, and I would like to thank Chalerm, Mark, and Oliver, the entire Team, and everyone involved for the trust they have placed in the project. "What makes this Team special is the way everyone comes together in pursuit of the same goal, and I feel privileged to work alongside such a talented and committed group every day." #F1 || #RedBullRacing
