Kaizer Chiefs will go head-to-head with Zamalek in their second CAF Confederation Cup Group D match at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 3pm CAT.
CURRENT FORM
Amakhosi saw their nine-match unbeaten run across all competitions come to an end when the Soweto heavyweights suffered a 2-1 defeat to Al Masry in their opening Group D fixture played in Egypt on 23 November.
Chiefs find themselves placed third in the group standings without a single point after matchday one. The South African giants will be banking on home ground advantage as they target maximum points against Zamalek in front of their passionate fans.
Zamalek, on the other hand, claimed a 1-0 win over Zesco United in their Group D opener in Egypt on 23 November and the win saw the Egyptian giants return to winning ways after Al Ahly had ended their six-match unbeaten run across all competitions.
The White Knights are occupying the second spot in the standings with three points after matchday one. The Cairo-based side will climb to the top of the standings if they overcome Chiefs and the result between Al Masry and Zesco go their way.
TEAM NEWS
Kaizer Chiefs' injury list includes Glody Lilepo, Fiacre Ntwari, Khanyisa Mayo and Rushwin Dortley, but the team has been boosted by the availability of Gaston Sirino after missing the Al Masry game due to suspension.

Meanwhile, Zamalek have lost two key players to injuries, which they picked up during the game against Zesco. Injured duo Nabil Dunga and Abdallah El Said were excluded from the squad that travelled to South Africa to face Chiefs.
WHAT WAS SAID?
Kaizer Chiefs coach Khalil Ben Youssef
"Zamalek are one of the best teams in Africa with huge experience in continental competition. It will be a tough game, but if we want to qualify, we cannot afford any mistakes at home," Ben Youssef said.
"We need to win our home matches and collect more points away. We know our fans, we know the stadium, and we know it will be full. Their support means everything. I hope next weekend we’ll win and put ourselves in a better position in the group.”
Zamalek coach Ahmed Abdel Raouf
"The team is going through tough circumstances — fixture congestion, the absence of key players, the internationals returning fatigued, and several players out injured, while others are making cautious returns from previous injuries," Abdel Raouf said.
"We cannot deny that fatigue is clearly affecting all the players. We have no option but to focus on the upcoming match, which will be difficult against Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa. It is important to achieve a good result. The opponent lost their first match, so they will be seeking a reaction, which will make the encounter challenging."
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Kaizer Chiefs and Zamalek have met twice competitively, which was in the 1993 CAF Champions League/African Cup of Champions Clubs.
Amakhosi claimed a 2-1 win in South Africa, but the White Knights emerged as 1-0 winners in the second-leg clash in Egypt, which saw the North African side win the tie on the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.
