Three of the six athletes in the South African team will open their campaigns on Friday, as the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship gets underway in Budapest, Hungary.
Sprinter Zakithi Nene, who goes in the 400m event, 100m hurdler Marione Fourie and middle-distance runner Prudence Sekgodiso will all be in action on Day 1 of the three-day championship.
Gift Leotlela and Akani Simbine, who will turn out in the men's 100m dash, will compete on Saturday. And 200m star Sinesipho Dambile, who finished second in the 200m race at the Diamond League final last week, competes over the half-lap distance on Sunday.
Athletes will compete in finals if they progress beyond the semifinals of their events.
