FULL TIME: The Hurricanes blew the Brumbies away in the second half here in Napier. They managed to score 42 unanswered points in the second half.

TRY, HURRICANES, LAUMAPE! 54-21: The Hurricanes string together eight phases. Beauden Barrett then kicks across field and Laumape takes the ball and runs well to score.
Beauden Barrett breaks again and makes it all the way into the Brumbies 22.

TRY, HURRICANES, GIBBINS! 47-21: They maul forward after the lineout drive and Gibbins scores his second try tonight. The Brumbies now look tired.

HALF TIME: The Hurricanes started with a bang, but the last 20 minutes belonged to the Brumbies. This is still anyones game and Beauden Barrett will have to be watched in the second half.
The Hurricanes take a quick lineout and make their way into the Brumbies 22. They win a penalty, as Mann-Rea fails to roll away. They find touch five metres from the Brumbies line. They secure the lineout, but the Brumbies manage to keep them at bay.
The Brumbies feed a scrum five metres from their line and win a penalty for much needed relief. Hawera however fails to find touch.
The Brumbies have done well over the last ten minutes.

TRY, BRUMBIES, POWELL! 14-19: The Brumbies launch an attack after the kickoff, as Kuridrani breaks. Great handling and offloading then leads to a superb try for Powell under the posts. That started inside their 22.

TRY, BRUMBIES, CARTER! 14-12: The Brumbies win a penalty inside the Hurricanes 22 and take it quick. They apply the pressure and then Carter goes over and scores under the posts.
Speight bursts through the line after the restart and he offloads to Kuridrani, who kicks downfield. Beauden Barrett is forced to kick the ball into touch.
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, HAWERA! 14-7: Hawera narrows the gap.
TRY, BRUMBIES, KURIDRANI! 14-5: Powell breaks the line and offloads well to Kuridrani, who finishes it off and scores!

Hawera boots it downfield into the hands of Jane and they then turn it over. Kuridrani kicks towards the goal, but the ball bounces over the dead ball line.
The Brumbies are putting themselves under pressure with some loose passes.

TRY, HURRICANES, JANE! 12-0: Beauden Barrett finds a gap after the lineout, but is well tackled. They go wide and then Beauden Barrett kicks for the corner and into the hands of Cory Jane, who goes over and scores!
The Hurricanes win a penalty, as Kuridrani goes off his feet in the ruck. They feed a lineout deep inside the Brumbies half.
The Hurricanes secure another scrum and go wide. Beauden Barrett kicks again, but Powell clears well.

TRY, HURRICANES, ASO! 5-0: Abbot secures the lineout ball. They string together 12 phases, without really making any progress. Beauden Barrett then kicks through, but the bounce favours the Brumbies. They kick deep but on the counter attack Vince Aso gets hold of the ball near the halfway line and storms through for a TRY! That was poor tackling by the Brumbies.
The Hurricanes shove and win a penalty at the scrum. Sio is the guilty party. Beauden Barret finds touch on the Brumbies 22.
Laumape breaks the line after the scrum, but again an unforced error leads to a knock on. The Brumbies feed a scrum on the halfway line.
The Brumbies move the ball around in front of their own goal. They make good ground and then Hawera breaks the line. They did well only to knock it on in the Hurricanes half.

The Brumbies have included Josh Mann-Rea at hooker. James Dargaville is back in the starting lineup in place of Tom Banks. Robbie Abel and Lola Fakaosilea will warm the bench. Tevita Kuridrani, teams up alongside Andrew Smith in midfield, while Henry Speight will be on the wing with Dargaville.
Brad Shields will lead the Hurricanes for the first time. Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi makes his Super Rugby debut, replacing TJ Perenara, who moves to the bench. Cory Jane comes back into the team, replacing Wes Goosen. Blade Thomson and Vaea Fifita will start at number eight and lock respectively. Ben Lam is also set to make his Hurricanes debut from the bench.
Beauden Barrett will most likely dictate the pace of the game this evening.
The Brumbies, on the other hand, will need to pick themselves up, after they went down to the Rebels in Melbourne last week
The defending champions should prove too much for the Brumbies, when they meet in Napier tonight. The Hurricanes are on a high, having won six of their seven matches thus far this season.
