The Springbok Sevens side headed into their eighth consecutive semifinal in this year’s HSBC World Sevens Series as they breezed past Samoa 12-0 to take another step towards the World Series crown.

The Blitzboks will face New Zealand, who beat hosts France in the other quarterfinal at 2.38pm this afternoon (CAT, GMT+2) in order to make it to the final of the Paris Sevens.

Cecil Afrika and Werner Kok scored the tries to put them into the semifinal with New Zealand beating France 14-0 in their semi.

The other semifinalists are Scotland, who followed up their win over the Blitzboks on Saturday with a 24-0 demolition of Fiji, while England beat USA 26-12 to book their place in the semis.
