The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee has found Lusaka Dynamos guilty of using an ineligible player in their week one match with Power Dynamos resulting in their forfeiture of that match.

The decision was arrived at after the Disciplinary Committee established - following a complaint by Power Dynamos - that Lusaka Dynamos player Kadima Tresor Kanyinda, a Congolese national, was ineligible to play in that match which ended in a 3-3 draw because he did not have an International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The Disciplinary Committee chaired by Mr J.A. Jalasi ruled that Power Dynamos be awarded three points and that the match be recorded as a 2-0 win in their favour. It further ruled that Kadima Tresor Kanyinda was ineligible to play in any competitions organised by the FAZ until he received an International Transfer Certificate from FIFA.

Lusaka Dynamos have appealed the Disciplinary Committee's decision, stating inter alia that they expected that the decision to award points to Power Dynamos would not be effected until after expiry of the appeal process.
