The quarterfinals pairings of the Total Caf Champions League have been confirmed following the completion of the group stage matches at the weekend.

Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns continue their quest to defend their title with a home game against Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club, who are hungry to eclipse a 25-year drought for the title they last won in 1992.

Another Southern African region representative, Ferroviario da Beira of Mozambique, have a tricky match-up against Algerian big boys USM Alger, whose only notable feet in the CCL is being runners-up in 2015.

The eight-time champions of Africa’s elite club competition, Al Ahly have a mountain to climb as they face the two-time champions Esperance in what promises to be a thriller.

The matches are pencilled in for the weekend of 8-10 September for the first leg, and the second leg matches are set to take place between 15-17 September.
